Off vehicle DPF cleaning

Off vehicle DPF Flash Cleaning

If after our initial diagnosis it is found that your DPF will not benefit from an on vehicle clean due to oil, ash or additive accumulation then we would advise of an off the vehicle flash clean.
Our DPF flash cleaner is specifically intended for cars and vans and is designed to perform a complete filter refurbishment on all DPFs quickly and efficiently.
⚫ How does it work?
➡️ First, the DPF is removed from the vehicle and then one end is sealed with a bung. Then the DPF is filled with our Power Cleaner, our unique DPF cleaning solution, and left to stand for 20-30 minutes. The cleaning solution reacts with the contents of the filter causing the blockage and lifts the ash and soot from every surface.
➡️ The DPF is then connected to the flash cleaner to power wash the filter and remove all the impurities. The next step involves the application of another unique solution, Power Protect. Featuring the latest nano-catalyst technology, Power Protect is absorbed by the DPF and leaves a protective coating on the surface of the filter elements. This causes the soot to combust at a lower temperature (400 degrees rather than the usual 650) which slows the build up of impurities which cause DPF blockages and increases the effectiveness of the vehicle’s own DPF regeneration system. Once complete, the DPF can be re-fitted to the vehicle, completely clean and free of any blockage-causing carbon/soot/ash/additive build up.
⚫ Why we offer the service?
➡️ We found that quite a few higher mileage vehicles were suffering from DPF blockages caused by ash and additive accumulation and as a consequence we were having to remove DPFs for sending away for cleaning (usually a 4 day turnaround) and as such had vehicles off the road for several days! or lost the job to companies offering illegal removal! As most technicians will know, a vehicle’s DPF can no longer be removed or gutted if it is blocked and not performing correctly - doing so is an instant MoT fail. So we decided to purchase our own flash cleaner... this means that we can now have DPFs removed, cleaned and refitted the same day!
➡️ Furthermore, a diesel vehicle must not emit ‘smoke of any colour’ during its MoT emissions test – emissions caused by the DPF not working correctly due to being blocked with impurities.
➡️ Most manufacturers recommend the replacement of the DPF every 100,000-120,000 miles – cleaning the DPF with the DCS-17 means this is not necessary, thus saving your customers money in the long run.
➡️ Cleaning a DPF with our flash cleaner ensures the DPF is working correctly and solves issues caused by a blocked/partially blocked DPF.
