We had this massive horse box brought in with LPG faults that needed repairing…
First the level gauge was reading empty but the owners could only ever refill with around 20p worth of gas! We found the level gauge on the tank had been installed upside down and the tank was infact full!
Secondly the tank was rusty as no underbody coating had been applied when it was fitted! We sanded back the rust and gave it a substantial underbody coating.
Thirdly there was a small leak from the gas regulator in the side locker! We changed the pipework and refitted with a new olive and thread sealing fluid.
And lastly the Truma water heater had been installed with just the electric option turned on so the gas fired side wasn’t working! We fitted the correct switch and checked operation… all now works as it should👍
